Creating Plans
Generate an AI-optimized scheduling plan in ChronSync based on your calendar and preferences.
Creating Plans
An AI scheduling plan is a set of recommendations for how to organize your upcoming week. Creating a plan takes a few seconds and does not change anything on your calendar until you accept it.
Generating a Plan
- Click AI Scheduling in the sidebar
- Click Generate Plan
- The AI analyzes your calendar, availability, and preferences
- A plan appears showing the suggested schedule layout
The generation process typically takes 5--15 seconds depending on the complexity of your calendar.
What the Plan Includes
A generated plan may recommend:
- Focus blocks -- Uninterrupted time reserved for deep work
- Meeting clusters -- Grouping similar meetings together (e.g., all client calls on Tuesday and Thursday mornings)
- Buffer optimization -- Adjusting spacing between meetings for smoother transitions
- Availability adjustments -- Suggesting changes to your weekly schedule to better match demand patterns
Providing Preferences
Before generating a plan, you can set preferences that guide the AI:
| Preference | Example |
|---|---|
| Preferred focus time | "Mornings before 11 AM" |
| Meeting batching | "Group all external calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays" |
| Maximum meetings per day | "No more than 4 meetings on any day" |
| Protected days | "Keep Fridays meeting-free" |
The more specific your preferences, the better the AI can tailor its recommendations.
Plan Does Not Auto-Apply
Generating a plan is non-destructive. It produces a set of suggestions that you review before accepting. Nothing on your calendar or availability changes until you explicitly apply the plan.
