Set up SMS reminders
Turn on Enable SMS reminders for an event type so bookers get a text before their meeting — the reminder channel that works today.
Send your bookers a text message reminder before their meeting starts. SMS reminders are turned on per event type, and they're the pre-meeting reminder that ChronSync sends today.
Before you start:
- You need to be signed in to your ChronSync account.
- You need an event type to enable reminders on — see Create an event type.
- Your plan needs SMS allowance available. Check it under usage and limits.
Turn on SMS reminders for an event type
Open the event type you want to add reminders to.
Turn on Enable SMS reminders.
Save the event type.

Bookers with a phone number can now opt in to receive SMS reminders for this event type.
How bookers get a reminder
A reminder text goes out only when both of these are true:
- Enable SMS reminders is on for the event type.
- The booker provides a phone number when they book.
When someone books and enters their phone number, ChronSync sends them a reminder text ahead of the meeting. You control how far ahead reminders are sent with the Default reminder before events setting in your notification preferences.
Check your SMS allowance
SMS availability depends on your plan's SMS allowance. If reminders aren't going out, confirm you still have allowance remaining under usage and limits.
Pre-meeting reminders are sent by SMS only right now. Automatic email reminders are coming soon but do not send yet — so to remind bookers ahead of time, enable SMS reminders on the event type.
