Create an event type
Create a bookable event type in ChronSync — set its title, duration, location, buffers, limits, and policies — and get a shareable booking link.
Create a new event type so people can book that kind of meeting from your link. You fill out one form — title, duration, location, and a few rules — and ChronSync gives you a booking link you can share right away.
Before slots show up on your booking page, set your weekly hours and connect a calendar. Without availability, people won't see any times to book.
Create your event type
Open the new event type form
From the sidebar, go to Event Types (/event-types), then select New Event Type. The form opens at /event-types/new.

Fill in the basic information
Under Basic Information, give your event type a Title — this is required and can be up to 100 characters. It's the name people see on your booking page, so make it clear, like "30 Minute Meeting."
Add an optional Description (up to 500 characters, with a live character counter). It appears under the title on your booking page to tell bookers what to expect.
Set the Duration (minutes) — anywhere from 5 to 480 minutes. Pick a preset or type a custom number.

Choose a color
Still under Basic Information, pick a Color from the 10 presets. The color is a visual label that helps you spot this event type at a glance on your dashboard — it doesn't change anything on your booking page.

Set your scheduling rules
Under Scheduling, add padding and limits around each booking:
- Buffer before (minutes) and Buffer after (minutes) — 0 to 120 minutes each — block time on either side of the meeting so bookings don't land back-to-back.
- Scheduling window (days) — 1 to 365 — how far ahead people can book.
- Minimum notice (hours) — 0 to 720 — the lead time you need before a booking can start.

Add booking limits (optional)
Under Booking Limits, cap how many bookings this event type accepts Per day, Per week, and Per month. Leave any field blank for unlimited.

Choose where the meeting happens
Under Location, select one or more location types: Video call, Phone call, In person, or Custom.
If you choose Video call, pick a Video provider — Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet. ChronSync creates the meeting link automatically when someone books. If the provider you pick isn't connected yet, the form shows a warning telling you which calendar or app to connect.
Automatic Google Meet links aren't live yet — this is coming soon. For an automatic video link today, choose Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Set your policies
Under Policies, decide how bookings behave:
- Active — when on, the event type is visible on your booking page. Turn it off to hide the event type while you work on it.
- Requires approval — bookings arrive as requests you approve before they're confirmed.
- Enable SMS reminders — texts a reminder to bookers who provide a phone number.
You can also set Reschedule notice (hours) and Cancel notice (hours) — how much warning you require before a booker can change or cancel — plus Max reschedules, the most times a single booking can be rescheduled.

Save the event type
Save the form. Your new event type appears in your list on the Event Types page, ready to share.

ChronSync builds the booking URL automatically from the title — there's no slug field to edit in the form. Your booking link looks like chronsync.com/<your-username>/<event>.
What you can do from each event type card
Once an event type is in your list, its card gives you quick actions:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Copy booking link | Copies this event type's booking URL so you can paste it anywhere. |
| Edit | Reopens the form to change any setting. |
| Activate / Deactivate | Toggles whether the event type shows on your booking page. |
| Delete | Removes the event type — ChronSync asks you to confirm first. |
