Set session buffers

Add Session Buffers in ChronSync to put gaps before and after your sessions so you're never booked back-to-back.

Add Session Buffers to put gaps before and after your sessions so you're never booked back-to-back. The buffer time stays free, giving you a moment to wrap up notes, reset, or get to your next meeting.

How session buffers work

A session buffer reserves time around each booking. A buffer before keeps the slot ahead of a session free, and a buffer after keeps the slot behind it free. ChronSync then only offers booking times that leave those gaps clear.

Session Buffers on the Availability page apply across your bookings, so they're a good way to set a baseline gap once. Per-event-type buffers, which you set when you create an event type, let you adjust the gap for a specific kind of session. The two work together: use Session Buffers for your general padding, and per-event-type buffers when one event needs more or less breathing room.

Set your session buffers

Go to Availability and open Session Buffers.

Set the buffer to apply before each session.

Set the buffer to apply after each session.

Save your buffers.

Your booking page now leaves those gaps clear, so the slots people see never sit directly against another session.

Buffers only change the spacing between bookings. To change the days and times you take bookings at all, see Set your weekly hours.
