Manage roles and access
Understand the Owner, Admin, and Member roles in ChronSync — what each one can see and do — and change a member's role from Settings → Members.
Every member of your workspace has a role that sets what they can see and do. ChronSync has three roles — Owner, Admin, and Member — and you can change a person's role at any time.
Before you start
- Only an Owner can change roles. Admins can manage most settings, but role changes are reserved for Owners.
The three roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full control of the workspace, including changing other members' roles. Can see and manage all workspace settings. |
| Admin | Can see and manage all workspace settings — members, teams, and bookings — but can't change roles. |
| Member | Can manage their own scheduling. Sees only their Profile, Integrations, Notifications, and Proposals. |
Owners and Admins can see and manage all workspace settings. Members have a focused view: they see only their Profile, Integrations, Notifications, and Proposals — everything they need to manage their own scheduling, and nothing more.
Change someone's role
Go to Settings → Members.
Find the person in the members list.

Update their role.
The member's access updates right away to match their new role. If you don't see the option to change a role, you're not signed in as an Owner — only Owners can change roles.
